A while back in the comments section of Shirat Devorah, you mentioned a book called The Journey. Some were worried it might be avodah zara but you cited some rabbis who gave their approval. Can you repeat those for me? I bought the book and read it in one day. I just gave it to my friend to read and I would like to reassure her there is nothing preventing a Torah Jew from reading it. I apologize for asking this question in this comments section.

    Thank you,
    Moriah

  4. Hi Moriah, I recently took a course with 2 Charedi teachers in Jerusalem who took all of Brandon Bayes trainings. The male teacher is close to the Biale Rebbe and he gave him a blessing to attend the courses and take from it what is pertinent. My teachers decided to run their own course based on her teachings to change the language so that it reflects the Jewish teachings accurately...though nothing in the actual texts is outside of our spiritual consciousness in its basic practice. What Brandon really discovered was that as you peel back all of the emotions, what is left is Hashem. They also did a course of just religious people in Jerusalem with mehadrin food, etc recently. I saw Brandon on her TV show with a "Black and white" charedi man doing a session with him. I was also told about the book by coincidende by 2 people in my neighborhood on the same week. One was a Breslov Charedi mother and the other also a Chardal woman...then I went to a conference with Rav Fenger (An Israeli Charedi Rav who lives in Bnei Brak and is a spiritual mashpia on many) If you read Hebrew you can check out his website..are you in Israel? His website is http://www.olamotn.com/. In his lecture on Jewish healing he spoke about all these Torah based sources and then spoke about Brandon and used a source of her exercise in an exercise on Teshuvah. I will be meeting with my teachers again in a while so I am happy to ask them questions as well. I hope Beezrat Hashem to start posting topics on healing, tikkun, teshuvah, etc. so that we can be vehicles for supporting one another on this life journey. I am happy to discuss the Journey concept further. As she herself is engaged in some Hindu practice I prefer not to take her courses so that none of that energy is transmitted, but I have seen the exercises transform every Jewish soul I have worked with using it, including myself. It is a true method to really access the Neshama and start to listen to it which is crucial. You can e-mail me directly as well devora@gmail.com

    1. continued...I am happy to discuss specific aspects of the book as well, and clarify with my teacher where there are questions. I think it is just a very practical way to apply our truest teachings in Torah. What were your thoughts when you read it?
